Question: Will the same pet sitter visit everyday?
Answer:
For daily service customers two pet specialist will normally alternate however your pet will never meet a pet specialist he/she has never met before without his normal care taker. For occasional customers, we will try our best to send the same person but cannot guarantee their availability.
Question: What type of animals do you care for?
Answer:
We care for all sorts of animals! If you are unsure, contact us.
Question: Once I am a client how much notice do I need to make an appointment?
Answer:
If you are a daily client we work out a schedule for you on the initial visit. If you need to schedule an appointment for a day that’s out of your schedule please give us at least 3 days notice so we can schedule you in.
Question: What if my property is damaged?
Answer:
We are only liable for damage from negligence or willfully misconduct. Due to the unpredictability of animals, we cannot accept responsibility for unusual mishaps (ex. furniture damage). We suggest that you pet proof your home in your absence.
Question: Who are your pet sitters?
Answer:
Our pet sitters are passionate animal lovers who have been thoroughly screen prior to employment and gone through a background check including verifiable references and past employment history. They have experience working with animals as vet technicians, shelter volunteers, etc.

Question: Do you offer boarding?
Answer:
We offer
pet sitting and overnight care for your pets at your home so that they are in their natural environment versus the stresses usually experienced during boarding. For more information visit our services page.
Question: Do you give medications to pets?
Answer:
Yes. There is a small fee associated with pets that need medications. For more information visit our services page.
Question: How do I know my keys are safe?
Answer:
No identifying marks on put on your keys, neither name or address. We keep a lot of our clients keys in a key lockbox.
Question: What makes you unique from other pet care providers?
Answer:
Our staff are all passionate pet care specialist with extensive experience who are either vet technicians, veterinary students or shelter volunteers who have a lifetime commitment to animal welfare. Each client and pet is given personal attention and we never overbook. This is our passion not a part time business.
Question: What results and benefits can I expect?
Answer:
Your pet will be happier and healthier. They will be less anxious and in a more relaxed state throughout the day which some people feel extends the life of your pet.
Question: What area do you service?
Answer:
We service Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Key Biscyane, Brickell and Southeast Downtown. We travel outside our
service area for a small fee, visit our service area page.
Question: Are you licensed, bonded, insured?
Answer:
Yes, We are licensed with Miami-Dade County, we have liability insurance from “Pet Sitters Associates, LLC” and special property of others coverage from the same company (which is the same, if not better, than being bonded).
Question: How much notice for cancellation do you need?
Answer:
We require a minimum of 24 hour confirmed cancellation. Cancellation must be received by email or phone and be confirmed by us. We need at least 7 day notice for Holiday cancellations. Same day cancellations are non-refundable. All credits/refunds are applied in house for future use.
Question: Do I have to sign a contract?
Answer:
Yes, we need a signed agreement that you agree to let us into your home to care for your animals as well as that you are aware of and agree to our policies/procedures.
Question: How am I billed?
Answer:
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and you are billed on the Wednesday prior to your week of service. We keep a credit card on file, but can also accept check as payment for following week of service. For occasional customers we bill according to the date services will be rendered.
Question: Do you have references?
Answer:

Question: Will my pets receive individual attention?
Answer:
Yes. Unlike other pet care businesses our services are one-on-one unless you have multiple pets and/or subscribe to our dog park services in which case we never have groups larger than 4 per pet specialist.
Question: What if I need emergency pet care service?
Answer:
We will try to accommodate you as best as possible, but cannot guarantee on very short notice that we can provide service.
Question: Are there any additional cost for Holidays/Weekends?
Answer:
Weekends are $10.00 additional and Holidays vary from $10.00-$16.00 per day.
Question: Why do you require a consultation?
Answer:
The consultation will help you become familiar with our services. We gather important information about your home and pet(s), pick up a copy of your key, go through all the necessary documents and we can personally address all your questions. Our consultations are always free even if you are not quite ready to begin services it will give you a better understanding of our services and cost. For more information visit our consultation page.
Question: My pet can sometimes become aggressive can we still use your service?
Answer:
This depends on the pet. If your pet and our pet sitter get a long then yes. However, if your dog becomes protective of your home while you are away or is aggressive towards our sitters we cannot render services.
Question: How do I drop off house keys?
Answer:
We must have a copy of your keys on file and we will normally collect this during the consultation. Key pick up and drop off is available for an additional fee. Please note we must return your key to you either by track-able mail service or hand delivery for security reasons we cannot leave your key with doormen, neighbors, under plants or pots, etc. This is why we highly suggest having a spare copy for you to keep.

The free consultation is designed to give you all the information you need to make a decision.
Question: What are your business hours?
Answer:
Our office is open Monday thru Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. We offer pet care service Monday thru Sunday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Question: What happens if you have not yet worked with my type of pet?
Answer:
Our pet sitters are trained on various breeds/species however if we are unfamiliar with care for your particular pet we would ask you to take the time to train us on the specific needs and nuances of caring for your pet
Question: Who are your clients?
Answer:
Our clients are busy professionals mostly our clients work in Finance, Law, Real Estate, Technology, Advertising, Fashion, consulting or are small business owners. We also have clients that travel a lot for business or leisure, are senior or busy families.
Question: How will I know how my pets are doing when I am gone?
Answer:
If you have requested vacation care we will email you a brief update on your pet on your request only. You must email updates@grovepetservice.com. If you are a daily service client we leave notes with any comments on the days activity.
Question: What if the pet sitter has a personal injury or emergency while taking care of my pet(s)?
Answer:
We will get in touch with the emergency contact you provided as well as yourself to make sure the pet is taken care of.
Question: What happens if my travel plans change?
Answer:
If your trip is overextended for whatever reason contact us as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate extra care time.
Question: What times do you typically visit a home?
Answer:
Our time blocks are as follows: Morning (9:00 am – 10:45 am), Afternoon (11:00 am – 3:30 pm), Evening (5:30 pm – 8:00 pm). If you have a more specific time in mind we will work hard to accommodate your request however because of the daily unpredictability of our work we cannot guarantee any specific time aside from the aforementioned time blocks.
